Position Descriptions
Proposed Bylaw Revision.
Moves position descriptions from bylaws to the Procedures Manual for more effective management
Background:
This bylaw revision moving Position Descriptions to the Procedures manual, was proposed at the last March Membership Meeting. After discussion, it received general agreement from the floor . Subsequently a procedural issue was raised, and voting on this amendment was deferred until the September meeting.
Having position descriptions in the bylaws, prevents Club leaders from managing resources effectively, and solving issues in a timely manner. This is due to the lengthy review and approval process required to make Bylaw changes.
The purpose of this change is to enable Club leadership to have the ability organize and manage club resources and projects effectively.
No Board positions are being eliminated by this change.
The Position Descriptions have not been updated for 3-4 years. They have been revised to bring them in line with current practices. this Bylaw change also simplifies the task of keeping them current.
